When is the best time to find work in Ayia Napa?

You will find a lot of workers go over end of April early May to the resort, at this time it tends to be more workers than holiday makers so it can be hard for everyone to find work.

Early June however is a good time to go as the resort starts to pick up and holiday makers eventually swarm in meaning the local clubs/bars will want to hire more workers. Additionally August is a popular period for those holiday makers wanting to hit the hardcore sun which also makes this a very busy period for the Ayia Napa tourist industry. Not only this but many of the other season workers have left to go home, leaving spaces for other potential people to fill their working places.

What's the pay like in Ayia Napa?

The pay you can expect will depend on the amount of  holiday makers that hit the resort. For instance during early May where there are fewer tourists, you can expect to make around 10-25 euros per night. Whereas business will increase in Ayia Napa during June, in which you can expect to make between 30 - 55 euros per night.

The jobs in Ayia Napa can vary from an offer of a basic rate, commission or both..

Do I need a Visa to work in Ayia Napa?

No visa is required to work in Ayia Napa.

How and when do I get paid?

Most bars and clubs pay by cash either weekly, every fortnight or monthly.

How many hours a day and days a week can I expect to be working?

Bar Work        8pm - 2am

Big clubs  10pm - 4am

Low season you could be working 5-6 days a week and high season it could be 6-7 days a week.

What's it like working in Ayia Napa?

Some of our guests stayed out Summer 2011 until oct and it was the most popular of all resorts this year to work and we expect it to be even more popular this summer with its never ending parties and amazing nightlife.

How do I find work in Ayia Napa ?

You need to be in the resort being active and talking to the bar and club owners who are hiring for the season face to face- your reps at Sunkiss will give you tips on what to say and how to impress.

To find bar work in Ayia Napa you need to be on a friendly basis with the bar manager and try to blow them away! Impress the management by having a one to one chat, make yourself remembered with your bubbly, outgoing, enthusiastic, hard working traits, enthral them with your experience and skills or willingness to learn. This will consequently work in your favour the next time they are wishing to hire more staff.

Step 1 The Registration Fee

Registration Fee 100 Euros (Approx £80)

This is to book your place and guarantee your working holiday with Sun-Kiss Working Holidays. You can book your place online.

Once the fee has been received along with your registration information, we know that you are serious about working abroad and we can begin matching you with other workers and shortly after, one of our team mates will contact you with further information including a confirmation letter sent via email, please note there is limited places for each resort.

Step 2 The Accommodation Fee

Accommodation Fee 350 Euros (Approx £290)

This needs to be paid approx 8 weeks before your departure date. This guarantees you one month’s accommodation but if you want more, we can arrange this with you before you go on your working holiday.

Step 3 Flight Prices

Once you receive your confirmation letter you will receive the flight information by email.
Prices are cheaper early on in the summer and get more expensive further into the summer. Some flights are cheaper depending on what resort you choose.

Step 4 Rep Fee

Rep Fee 50 Euros (Approx £43)

When you arrive in the resort, here you will pay your reps €50 and in return you will receive help, advice and all his/her knowledge of the island for the duration of your stay.

Depending on some Hotel/Apts they will ask you for a refundable 50 Euros deposit, please note this is only in some resorts.

- Advice & Knowledge of best places to eat,drink,workers bars, restaurants,supermarkets,gyms,beaches,internet cafes,laundry,how to save money, etc
- Job list of jobs available currently in the resort.
- Help with all legalities (for example Ibiza you might need Nie number but not essential)
- Help setting up bank accounts, mobile phones etc
- Discounts in selected bars and restaurants as you are on a working holiday.
- Safety and Security
- Fancy dress once a week, army/school disco/beach theme/jellybeans/aqua club/toga theme.
- To get organised nights out & Sun-kiss Bar crawls, meals out, pool parties, trips & excursions.
- Reps on call in the event of an emergency 24/7.
